This morning I went to Squaw Valley to check out the new snow that just dumped on the Truckee/Lake Tahoe region this week. It was better than I expected! Red Dog chair was spinning and the Resort chair, as well as the new Shirley Lake six- pack chair and the Funitel. The cold temperatures still held snow in the trees, creating a true winter wonderland. Although coverage is still a bit thin in places, it was smooth and powdery. Considering winter doesn't even begin until Friday, I think we are off to a fabulous start!

Another big storm is hitting as I write this, projected to snow about 5 inches tonight and continuing into Thursday, and again on Saturday. It is shaping up to be a very merry Christmas season!
