I was just passed on this article from the Sierra Sun written by Jason Shueh naming Sierra Meadows the Best Neighborhood! Wow. Having lived in this neighborhood for the past 10 years, I am partial to it. Good to know that others love it too!

On a bittersweet note, this was the last weekend of Squaw Valley's Mighty Mites program of the season. I am already in a bit of a panic as to how I will fill weekends between now and next Christmas with my six-year-old Mighty Mite, Declan. Winters are his favorite season of all, and he absolutely LOVED this season of Mightys. His coach, Elliot was enthusiastic, inspiring, and fun. He also maintained control (dont ask me how...) over a gaggle of six and seven year olds getting on and off chair lifts, taking the funitel, and eating lunch. My son even boasted that they "skied Gate 7 entrance into Silverado..."  Weekends will not be the same for us without a healthy six hour dose of ski team. They ended the season with a quaint and personal  awards ceremony out on the Bar One Deck, and then an all-out race to beat Gold Medal Olympian and former Mighty Mite, Julia Mancuso down the Mountain Run. Great season, great program. We will be back for more next year!
