Thankfully, a new coffee shop on a wet rainy day.

Top wind speeds were clocked at 130 miles today. Apocolyptic rain hammed down all day, and continues to hammer down into the night. On this day, I was lucky enough to visit CoffeeBar, a new coffee shop that opened this past week on Jiboom Street in Downtown Truckee. I ordered a latte. Not only was it FREE for their grand opening, but it was stunning. I wanted to crawl into this latte.
The most beautiful latte I have ever sipped
This was the latte that I was served. It was so gorgeous, that myself, my husband, and my son all had to take a picture and see whose picture was the most beautiful. I also ordered a lemon streudel to go with it. I had one of these streudels when I visited the CoffeeBar last Saturday. I had been craving this taste every day since then. Made by The Streudel Guy, a local dessert maker, these are a culinary work of art.
The CoffeeBar is a delicious new addition to the Downtown Scene. The guy I spoke to said that they are working on obtaining a liquor license to serve beer and wine and be open until 8 pm every night, which means that we have a much-needed new evening hangout in Downtown. Cheers to Coffeebar.
